SlickEdit Inc. on Monday announced Visual SlickEdit v9 for Mac OS X, a code development tool already available on Windows, Linux and Unix programmers. The software provides a workbench with multilanguage tools, graphical project tools, advanced code editing features and other capabilities. It can be customized through keybindings, a dialog box editor, and 12 emulations including Xcode and CodeWarrior. Visual SlickEdit for Mac OS X will ship in September 2004, according to the developer, and starts at US$299. Developers interested in giving Visual SlickEdit a spin can pre-register on the Web site for a free forthcoming demo.
