iPix InfoMedia announced on Tuesday the immediate availability of iPix Interactive Studio 1.2, a new version of its software for creating 360-degree panoramic photos. The upgrade, which is free for existing users, adds support for Fujifilm’s FinePix s7000 and FinePix S20 Pro digital cameras as well as new tools on the paint photo palette, a typing utility for adding text directly to images and new selection tools for creating hot spots and editing photos.
iPix Interactive Studio comes in two versions: the Essentials pack, which is a basic version of the application for US$899 per user, and the Enhancer pack, which includes Essentials and its Edit Pack and Format Pack plug-in upgrades for $1,799 per user. The plug-in upgrades are $499 each when purchased separately. All licenses last for a year and must be renewed at the end of the term. System requirements call for Mac OS X v.10.2 or higher, a G3 or better processor running at 450MHz or faster, 192MB RAM, 60MB hard drive space (200MB recommended), and display resolution set at 1024 x 768 or higher.
