Mac software developer and conversion company Software MacKiev on Wednesday noted that its latest effort, a Mac OS X-native version of Broderbund’s Kid Pix Deluxe 3, will soon ship and will be available in Apple retail stores. The US$39.95 package is a kid-friendly graphics program that integrates with Apple’s iLife applications, including iPhoto, iTunes and iMovie. It was first shown publicly in January at Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Calif., where it won a Best of Show award from the editors of Macworld magazine.
Other enhancements made to Kid Pix Deluxe 3 include new, remade graphics (more than 7000 of them) and fonts optimized for Mac OS X; support for most European, Cyrillic and Asian languages; a larger screen drawing area; 3D color cursors, larger buttons and support for millions of colors; extended help, “name tags” over buttons, spoken advice and highlights and much more.
Kid Pix Deluxe 3 for Mac OS X requires Mac OS X v10.1.5 or later, G3/266MHz or faster, 256MB RAM 170MB hard disk space.
