Imation Corp. announced on Thursday that it’s now shipping the 1GB version of its USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drive, which weighs less than an ounce and is the size of a AA battery, with a swivel cap hinged to it instead of an easily lost pop-off cap. When the line of diminutive drives were first announced in March, 128MB, 256MB and 512MB models were initially available. Like its siblings, the 1GB version reads and writes data at 8MB and 7MB per second, respectively, and plugs into any USB 1.1 or 2.0 port. The suggested retail price is US$360.
