Ambrosia Software Inc. has updated its screen capture and QuickTime movie recording utility Snapz Pro X to version 2.0.1. The new release sports a fix for an audio problem that could cause a freeze on some machines running Mac OS X v10.3.4. The image preview now displays the amount of disk space it uses, the software remembers video and audio/microphone compression settings following reboots, the register program supports multiple languages, and a number of other bugs were fixed as well. Snapz Pro costs US$69; upgrades from 1.0 with movie recording capabilities cost $20. The upgrade is free to Snapz Pro 2.0 users. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later.
