Shirt Pocket announced on Wednesday the release of
netTune s 2.1, an update to its utility that allows you to control iTunes running on one Mac from another on the same network. The new version features a drag-and-drop install that automatically updates the preference pane, retention of the original’s aspect ratio in the mini server display, improvements to performance and the user interface, better thumbnail rendering, support for Salling Clicker in the “Pause netTunes While on the Phone” event handler and an iChatStatus script that tells others what you’re listening to in your iChat status bar. netTunes 2.1 requires Mac OS X v10.2 and iTunes 2.1 and is a free upgrade for owners of version 2.0. You can download an evaluation copy from the Shirt Pocket Web site that will work for 30 minutes at a time before you have to pay the US$19.95 license fee.
