VendorNation.com has announced that its 3D landscape rendering application VistaPro Renderer is coming to Mac OS X. The software features the ability to scan in topographic maps to generate real-world landscapes; a variety of objects — such as trees, houses, stars roads, lakes and more — that can be added to your scenes; the ability to adjust the camera position and angle, tweak the lighting and atmospheric haze, alter clouds and terrain and more; Phong highlights and anti-aliasing for better lighting effects; and more. VistaPro Renderer also comes with more than 14,500 digital elevation maps from such places as the Grand Canyon, Japan’s Mt. Fuji, the Great Pyramids and more.
The company has not divulged system requirements or a release date yet, but you can sign up for their newsletter and learn how to become a Beta tester. VendorNation.com does note, however, that users can expect to find new packs of high-resolution VPR DEM world maps, HTML eHelp information, links to online tutorials, collection packs of VPR Sessions and more in the Mac OS X version.
