Marware has released its WiFi Spy, a small device that you can hook onto a keychain and carry around for those times when you need to find an 802.11b/g wireless network, such as in an airport or a coffee shop. When you press its button, the device scans for a signal and shows its strength on a four-bar display if it picks one up. Holding the button and walking around will help you find the strongest possible signal from the nearby hotspot; it picks up both open and closed networks. WiFi Spy sells for US$29.95.
