Virgin Electronics announced on Monday the release of a diminutive, silver dollar-sized MP3 player that holds 128MB of music. The US$99.99 device is just under two inches in diameter and slightly less than half an inch deep; including its rechargeable battery, it weighs right around half an ounce. It connects to your Mac via an included USB 1.1 cable that recharges the battery, and it also comes with an armband, a pair of earphones and a neck chain. Virgin notes that it also doubles as a file storage device and warns that it can’t play music downloaded from the iTunes Music Store. The company’s Web site does not state the minimum version of Mac OS X required.
