Aspyr Media Inc. has updated its Web site with information about its forthcoming Mac conversion of Spider-Man 2: The Game, an action title based on the summer blockbuster movie. Licensed by Aspyr from Activision, this game puts you in the role of the legendary web-slinging comic book superhero as you save the denizens of New York from Doc Ock. The game features the voices of Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and Alfred Molina, and sports some of the same locations and situations that Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, faced in the movie.
System requirements for the upcoming game call for a G3/700MHz or faster, Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, 256MB RAM, 1GB hard disk space, ATI Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM and 8x CD-ROM. Aspyr’s project status Web page shows that Spider-Man 2: The Game is already at its “Final Candidate” development milestone, and is on track for an August 2004 release.
