Mac game publisher Feral Interactive on Friday provided some status updates on its current projects, including a conversion of a game based on popular Lego toys and a title that puts you in the charge of an underground political movement in a breakaway former Soviet republic.
Bionicle has reached its Beta development milestone, according to Feral. The action game is aimed at kids ages 6-12, according to Feral — Lego’s main audience for the popular toys. In this game, players use the elemental powers of the Toa to battle the dark spirit Makuta and return the island of Mata Nui to light. Feral hasn’t yet posted minimum system requirements or a release schedule yet, but the company advised that a new “mini-area” for the Bionicle game is scheduled to be posted to their Web site next week.
Republic: The Revolution is a political thriller simulation game in which you lead an underground movement to overthrow the corrupt dictatorial regime that governs the mythical Soviet breakaway republic of Novistrana. Feral, based in the UK, indicated that Republic is now shipping to the US. The company sells Republic from its North American e-store for US$55.
