Apple Computer Inc. said on Tuesday that they are investigating reports from users of static and sound distortion in the company’s diminutive iPod mini.
“Apple is aware of a few isolated reports online of iPod mini audio static and is looking into it,” Apple said in a statement given to MacCentral. “If a customer has any technical issues, they should contact AppleCare.”
All iPod minis come with a one-year warranty.
After being announced in January, Apple told users in late March that worldwide shipments of the iPod mini would be delayed until July, about three months later than it had originally anticipated, due to stronger than expected demand in the U.S.
