The Omni Group on Wednesday announced that it has released OmniWeb 5.0, the latest major release to its Web browser. New features in OmniWeb 5.0 include a tab drawer, saved browsing sessions, enhanced bookmarks, page marking, better search shortcuts, built-in Rich Site Summary/Really Simple Syndication (RSS) news feed support, site-specific preferences and more. OmniWeb uses the same WebCore engine developed for use by Safari, Apple’s own Web browser. A 30-day trial can be downloaded from The Omni Group’s Web site. It costs US$29.95 to register. Upgrades from previous versions are $9.95. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later.
