Encyclopaedia Britannica Inc.’s Ultimate Reference Suite 2005 hits store shelves this month. The Ultimate Reference Suite includes the 32-volume Encyclopaedia Britannica, Britannica Student Encyclopedia and Britannica Elementary Encyclopedia.
The Ultimate Reference Suite for 2005 includes more video than last year’s version — more than three hours’ worth, in total — and “BrainStormer,” a new visual browser that classifies articles and topics through a web of logical relationships. What’s more, Encyclopaedia Britannica Ultimate Reference Suite 2005 sports improved integration with the Mac, according to the company — scroll bars, icons, window borders and other design elements are more Mac-like. It costs US$69.95 and comes with a $20 mail-in rebate. The Web site e-store still pointed to the 2004 version as MacCentral posted this article.
