Jumsoft, a developer best known for its Keynote theme packs and such applications as Process and Money, announced on Thursday a contest aimed only at Mac users. Entrants are asked to craft proposals explaining how they would use the contest’s prize — the domain www.xcodelife.com, Mac OS X v10.3 Server and hosting services consisting of 5GB of drive space, 10GB of bandwidth, 20 e-mail addresses, 10 sub-domains, PHP, WebObjects, CGI and custom-installed software — in the most creative manner. The company notes that there are no guidelines for entries; ideas mentioned by general manager Saulius Dallide include “a user-friendly Web site for Mac OS X developers, a magazine, a developer mailing list, [or] an open source project.” Entries must be received by Sept. 30, however; visit its official Web site for more details.
