Ampede has introduced PDF, a US$99 plug-in that allows continuous rasterization of Adobe Illustrator art in Final Cut Pro HD. The company notes that this capability was only available before in such dedicated composition software as Adobe After Effects. PDF accepts vector art contained in Illustrator or PDF files and renders it frame by frame, retaining its full resolution regardless of changes made. It features support for ColorCync, multi-threading, sub-pixel rendering, non-square pixels, field rendering and more. PDF requires Mac OS X v10.3.4 and Final Cut Pro HD 4.5; a 15-day trial is available for download.
