Chaotic Software on Tuesday announced the release of Media Rage 1.2, an update to the company’s audio editing toolset that offers several new features, including a contextual menu plug-in that enables file editing in the Finder, an Event Log window that details errors, a Convert Filenames to Tags utility that adds information from a media file’s name or the disk folder’s hierarchy and more. Upgrades are US$9.95 while the full version is $24.95; a seven-day trial is available for download. Mac OS X v10.2 or higher is required.
Chaotic also introduced its “Bundle of Rage” promotion, which makes Media Rage and MP3 Rage 5.8.3 — a toolset for editing, organizing and playing MP3 files — available together for $34.95. MP3 Rage is $24.95 when purchased by itself. Chaotic notes that it runs in Mac OS X but doesn’t list the minimum version required.
