MetaCase has ported its MetaEdit+ 4.0 coding environment to Mac OS X, the company announced on Tuesday. It’s aimed at developers who want to generate full code directly from the models they create, with the full version (€11,500 (US$13,894)) featuring a Method Workbench that guides the process and automatically builds modeling tools for a development team. MetaEdit+ by itself is €5,500 ($6,645), with volume discounts and academic pricing available, as well as evaluation copies. It requires Mac OS X v10.2.
