Camino 0.8.1 is now available for download from the Mozilla.org Web site. This point release fixes four potential security issues in the Web browser’s underlying Gecko engine, which was also upgraded to version 1.7.2, and disables prebinding in Mac OS X v10.3.x, which was causing excessive hard drive activity at start-up.
Camino 0.8, which was recently made available, offers a rewritten bookmark system that can import Safari, Internet Explorer and Mozilla bookmarks, with integration with Rendezvous and Address Book; the ability to view your top ten bookmarks based on visitation frequency and search through bookmarks; individual cookie management, including sorting and editing; pop-up unblocking on a per-site basis; and more. The software is free and requires Mac OS X v10.1.5 or higher, a G3 or better processor, 64MB RAM and 30MB hard drive space.
