Epson on Monday introduced its newest digital LCD projector: The PowerLite 821p. The New system costs US$3,099 and sports 2,600 lumens brightness, 1024 x 768 pixel (XGA) resolution and a 1.6x power zoom lens. The projector is aimed at well-lit environments where an image needs to be shown from a variety of distances, according to Epson. It also includes two computer and video inputs, and a five-watt speaker. Auto source selection automatically detects a valid input source signal, and the projector features third-party network card compatibility if users want to connect it to an Ethernet network for system administration. Expect to see the PowerLite 821p hit store shelves this September. Epson’s Web site was not updated with information about the new projector as MacCentral posted this article.
