Marathon Computer on Tuesday announced a new 12U enclosed equipment rack, suitable for office workgroup and machine room use. It’s deep enough to accommodate Apple Xserves, and uses adjustable-depth support rails. It’s short enough to fit under most countertops, according to the manufacturer. It features a smoked glass front door and security locking; it also has removable bottom panels for cable management and flow-through ventilation. Side panels are also removable. The cabinet rests on four full-swivel casters. The 12U Rack Cabinet is available now and costs US$699.
