Radical Breeze on Monday released an update to their Mac OS X disk cataloging and searching utility Illumination. Illumination 1.5 adds the ability to search using a Web-based interface, add notes to discs and search by date. The Web search function works in tandem with Illumination’s built-in Web server, enabling users to search the contents of their computers from other remote computers on the Internet. Illumination indexes any volume including hard drives, CDs, network servers, tape backups and more, and works online or offline. It costs US$19, and a free trial version is available. Illumination requires Mac OS X v10.3 or higher. Version 1.5 is a free update for registered users.
