Architectural audio product maker Sonance on Monday introduced the iPort. It’s an in-wall docking station designed for the Apple iPod that can also be rack mounted in an audio equipment rack. With iPort, the iPod can act as a source component for a multi-room audio system, according to Sonance. The iPort will include parts to work with all iPod models, according to the company, and will include connections for power, control and audio. Details on iPort were still scant as Playlist posted this article, but Sonance indicated that iPort will ship by the end of the year, with pricing to be announced.
