Apple has released Security Update 2004-09-07 version 1.1. If you’re confused about the title of this update given the current date, it’s because this is an updated version of the security update first released last week.
While the revised update contains the same improvements to the components the original release from last week, it also fixes a problem that could cause Mac OS X’s built-in File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server to stop working after the original update was applied. It also fixes a potential compatibility problem with Safari in Mac OS X v10.3.5 and certain Web sites. Apple has posted details about the update on their Web site for Jaguar and Panther versions of Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server — please visit the Apple Downloads Web page for the right link.
