Other World Computing (OWC) and Newer Technology Inc. on Tuesday announced a new “ultra high-capacity” Lithium-Polymer battery designed to work as a replacement for batteries in all first- and second-generation iPod. The companies said the new 2100mAh battery has 70 percent more charge than standard Apple stock batteries do. The battery costs US$39.95. Non-scratching installation tools and a detailed instruction manual are also included.
