Macron Software has released ABDialer 2, a Mac OS X utility designed to work in conjunction with Apple’s Address Book utility that enables you to dial phone numbers from your Mac through your regular phone line. It works with or without a modem, playing touch tones through a speaker, and also supports Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones.
New features in ABDialer 2 include an Address Book plug-in, new dial rules support, a redesigned Phone Book window, a Recent Calls list, the ability to define locations, iCal, iChat and itunes integration, SMS messaging support and more. ABDialer is US$12 shareware — users who registered version 1.x on or after June 24, 2004 can upgrade for free.
