Kingston Technology Company Inc. announced on Monday three new additions to its line of DataTraveler USB 2.0 Flash drives: DataTraveler II, DataTraveler II Plus and DataTraveler Elite. DataTraveler II features 11MB and 7MB per second read and write speeds, respectively, as well as 128MB (US$28), 256MB ($39), 512MB ($60) and 1GB ($107) capacities. DataTraveler II Plus ups the read and write speeds to 19MB and 13MB per second, respectively, and offers 256MB ($42), 512MB ($65), 1GB ($119) and 2GB ($239) capacities.
DataTraveler Elite includes 24MB and 14MB per second read and write speeds, respectively, and comes in 256MB ($53), 512MB ($87), 1GB ($154) and 2GB ($288) sizes. The included TravelerSafe+ software enables the setting of password protection with 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard security. All three DataTraveler Flash drives are available now.
