Battery Technology, Inc. (BTI) has announced that its new iPod Battery II will be available next month. A smaller successor to the original iPod Battery, which BTI shipped earlier this year, iPod Battery II features up to 40 hours of usage and can fully recharge in 90 minutes, with a life expectancy of 400 charges. It bypasses the MP3 player’s internal battery and ships with interchangeable cradles for connecting to all iPods with dock connectors, including the 3G and 4G models as well as iPod Mini. It’s also capable of charging the 4G iPod and iPod Mini’s internal battery. BTI did not announce pricing, and a product page was not available on its Web site as MacCentral posted this article.
