Aspyr Media Inc. on Monday announced plans to publish a Macintosh conversion of Men of Valor, a first-person shooter that portrays infantry combat during the Vietnam War. Men of Valor features 13 single-player combat missions spanning four authentic Vietnam-era military operations that took place from 1965 to 1968, as well as a multiplayer mode.
In Men of Valor, players assume the role of Dean Shepard, an African-American who enlists in the Marines shortly after school. Over the course of the game Shepard’s actions bring him to the attention of his superiors, who assign him progressively more crucial and dangerous missions. The climax of the game is set during the height of the Tet Offensive. Men of Valor was developed by 2015 Inc., the original developers of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. The game was published for the PC and Xbox by Vivendi Universal Games.
As MacCentral posted this article Aspyr had just posted a mini-site for the game, but details like price, system requirements and release schedule had not yet been provided.
