MetaCommunications, Inc. announced on Thursday that its latest print workflow solution, Approval Manager 1.0, will ship by the end of 2004. Approval Manager features a Web browser-based interface that allows users to set up and plan proofing stages as well as manage reviewers and schedules through each round of the process. The software supports Adobe Acrobat’s PDF format and Kodak Polychrome Graphics’ Web-based RealTimeProof and integrates with MetaCommunications’ Virtual Ticket 6.0 and Job Manager 3.5 as part of the digital workflow.
Approval Manager will be available in both standalone and OEM Partner versions, with licensing expected to be a per-seat basis, although MetaCommunications didn’t provide pricing. The company will have the software on display at next week’s Graph Expo 2004 trade show in Chicago as well as at the DMA Conference to be held in New Orleans Oct. 17 to 19. As MacCentral posted this article, MetaCommunications hadn’t posted a product page yet, nor had the company provided system requirements.
