Tritton Technologies announced on Friday the immediate availability of its latest network attached storage (NAS) product, a server that supports the 802.11g and 802.11b wireless protocols and comes with 120GB (US$399) or 200GB ($499) of disk space. It can operate either as a node placed within the range of a wireless network or as a wireless hotspot plugged into the network through its 10/100 Ethernet port. The NAS server features 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption as well as the option to password-protect shared folders; configuration is handled through a Web browser. It ships with Genie Soft’s Backup Manager software, but the application only runs on Windows.
