SanDisk Corp. on Tuesday introduced the SanDisk Digital Audio Player. Available in 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities, the flash-based player runs for up to 15 hours on a single AAA battery. It supports MP3 and Windows Media Audio (WMA) file formats, features a built-in FM tuner and voice recording capabilities, and can double as a USB flash drive. It’s compatible with Macs and Windows PCs.
SanDisk’s Digital Audio Player is available in red, blue and silver finishes in the 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities, respectively, and features a USB 2.0 interface. The digital FM radio can store up to 20 preset stations, and the player also sports a four-line backlit LCD panel that displays artist and title name. The new players are available for US$99.99 for 256MB, $149.99 for 512MB and $199.99 for 1GB. They come with data cable, headphones, carrying case and armband, battery and Windows software. The Web site was not updated with information about the new players as MacCentral posted this article.
