Syncro Soft Ltd. announced on Friday that XML Editor 5.0 , which features the new XSLT 2.0 Editor and Debugger, is now shipping. In addition to picking up XSLT editing and debugging, the software also now includes XPath 2.0, XQUery Editor, WSDL Editor and SOAP Analyzer and SVG Viewer, as well as several other new features.
Support for XSLT 2.0 includes editing, validating and debugging XSLT 2.0 stylesheets as well as transforming XML documents with XSLT 2.0 stylesheets. The debugging function maps the bugged output to the document and stylesheet locations that produced it. The WSDL Editor and SOAP Analyzer checks WSDL documents’ conformance to WSDL and SOAP schema and tests both the currently edited WSDL file and the remote WSDL files that are published on a Web server.
The XQuery Editor colors the syntax of and provides an autocomplete function for XQuery keywords, functions and operators. XPath 2.0 expressions can also now be evaluated.
Multi-platform academic or non-profit and commercial licenses are US$48 and $96, respectively, with upgrades costing $22 and $44. Users with current maintenance packages, which are $38 per academic license and $76 per professional licenses, can upgrade for free. Quantity discounts are available. XML Editor 5.0 runs in Mac OS X but Syncro Soft doesn’t note the minimum version required.
