The Apple Developer Connection (ADC) has just announced The Tiger Early Start Kit, a way for Mac OS X developers to get their hands on technology that will be publicly available with next year’s release of Mac OS X v10.4, “Tiger,” the next major evolution of Apple’s operating system. Tiger contains more than 150 new features, according to Apple.
Bundled with the ADC “Select” membership, the Tiger Early Start Kit includes pre-release versions of Mac OS X v10.4 and Xcode 2.0. One-on-one engineering consultation is also offered to help developers get their application ready for Tiger. And what’s more, developers get a special discount on Apple computer hardware. Developers who order early will also receive a free Tiger training DVD that contains session videos from Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference 2004, held earlier this year in San Francisco, Calif. Also included on the disk is presentation slides and sample code on essential Tiger development information.
