MYOB US Inc. on Thursday announced MYOB AccountEdge and MYOB AccountEdge Network Edition 2005, new versions of its small business accounting software for Mac OS X. The new versions add MYOB Payroll Forms Service, with the ability to print and e-file more than 250 US federal and state tax forms, including W-2, W-3, 940 and 941 forms. Process Payroll Assistant helps prepare company payroll runs. Other new features include the ability to create and schedule recurring transactions from a single location, e-mail customer statements and invoices in batches, a new Company Data Auditor report generator, remote credit card processing with direct links to Merchant Account’s Payment Gateway and more.
MYOB AccountEdge 2005 features sales and purchase models, inventory tracking, time billing, customer management and other features. The Network Edition adds the ability for multiple Mac OS X users to simultaneously work over a Local Area Network (LAN). The software can read MYOB Premier Accounting for Windows files, also.
MYOB AccountEdge costs US$299 for a single-user license. The Network Edition costs $399 for a three-user license. System requirements call for a Power Mac with at least 32MB RAM, 40MB hard drive space, 800×600 display and Mac OS 9.x or higher; it also runs natively in Mac OS X 10.1 or later.
