Toronto-based Marketcircle on Monday released DayLite 1.7, a free upgrade to its contact and sales management software that adds several new features, including a Quick Status window that shows past and pending tasks, opportunities and projects when you log into a database; the ability to handle one Web lead at a time; a dedicated Now Up to Date & Contact importer; a reorganized toolbar; two new report templates; and more, including performance enhancements. In addition, a copy of MailDrop 1.3.4, a utility for sending mass e-mails, is now included with every upgraded or full version of DayLite.
The full version of DayLite is US$149 per seat, or $59 for upgrades from DayLite Personal Edition. A new Developer Alliance Program also announced by Marketcircle on Monday offers three ways to integrate the software into a business environment: as Cocoa-based plug-ins with no licensing fees; as a Cocoa-based Distributed Object interface with no licensing fees; or through direct database access with a small licensing fee. These options were designed for third party and in-house developers who want to build solutions around DayLite.
