SanDisk Corp. on Monday introduced MobileMate, a multi-format memory card reader with USB 2.0 connectivity and dimensions approximating a stick of gum. It comes with a pair of plastic end caps, one to hook it to a key ring and one with a clip for attaching it to a pocket. The MobileMate SD+ supports five formats — SD, MiniSD, MultiMediaCard, RS-MMC and TransFlash — while the MobileMate MS+ offers compatibility with Memory Stick and its Pro, Duo and Pro Duo variants. SanDisk expects to begin shipping both models in November with a suggested retail price of US$19.99. Mac OS X v10.1.2 or higher is required. A product page was not available on the SanDisk Web site as MacCentral posted this article.
