Griffin Technology Inc. on Tuesday announced a new iTrip FM transmitter that matches the black-and-red iPod U2 Special Edition introduced by Apple earlier in the day. iTrip-Black sports the same features as its predecessor, including music transmission from your iPod to over 200 FM frequencies. It plugs into the headphone jack and draws power from its host, automatically shutting off after 60 seconds of silence. This version also offers a new power-saving feature that turns it back on when music resumes playing. Griffin expects to ship the iTrip-Black in November for US$35.
