Apple Computer Inc. opens its first retail store in Europe on Saturday when it finally opens the doors of its
Regent Street, London location, located in London’s West End shopping district. The store opens on November 20, 2004 at 10:00 AM. The retail store features two floors where customers can shop for Apple products and solutions, with specific stations for music, movies and photography; a Genius Bar, where Mac experts can be consulted for questions and support; “The Studio,” a new addition for Apple’s retail stores where customers can get one-on-one help with their creative projects from “Apple Creatives,” who specialize in various technology; a 64-seat theater; and a kid’s section with eight computers running educational software and games. Apple has more than 250 free events planned during the Regent Street store’s first month of operations, including a free concert from hit music artists Steriogram on Sunday, Nov. 21.
