Apple confirmed Thursday plans to open two new retail stores in the UK. Apple’s senior vice president of retail Ron Johnson confirmed the company’s plans in a press event for the opening of Apple’s
first retail store
in Europe, located on Regent Street in London, England.
Macworld UK reports
that Apple will open new retail stores in Birmingham’s Bullring and Kent’s Bluewater malls. Johnson said the new stores will open sometime in 2005, though he did not elaborate further. Johnson also told press that Apple is “working closely in Europe” to open additional stores there, though no announcement about those locations was made.
