The MathWorks on Thursday released
Bioinformatics Toolbox 2.0, an upgrade to the computational tool for the company’s MatLab development environment. Bioinformatics Toolbox was designed for molecular biologists and other research scientists, and this new version offers the ability to perform mass spectrometry data analysis as well as perform statistical inference and prediction, view graphs and analyze genomic and proteomic sequence analysis in more depth. This is a free upgrade for customers with current software maintenance agreements; the full version is US$200. Mac OS X v10.3.2, a G4 or G5 processor, 220MB hard drive space and 256MB RAM (512MB recommended) are required.
