Newer Technology Inc. and Other World Computing on Thursday made a joint announcement that the NuPower AL15 replacement battery for 15-inch Aluminum G4 PowerBooks is now widely available, after being constrained by tight supplies for three months after it first started shipping. Priced at US$129.99, the Lithium-Ion battery offers 53.3 watt-hour capacity, which is 11 percent more than the stock batteries provided by Apple. It’s compatible with Aluminum G4 PowerBooks running at 1GHz, 1.25GHz, 1.33GHz and 1.5Ghz speeds.
