Dr. Walid Rada writes:
When I used Windows XP I used to print several pictures in one page. It gave me the option of printing 2, 3, 4 6, etc, different pictures in a single page. Now that I switched to Mac OSX I cannot find the way of doing this in a fast and easy way. Is there a way to do it?
For the sake of our audience, let me clarify what Dr. Rada hopes to do. When he opens a multipage document and prints it, he would like to see multiple pages appear on a single page — for example, pages 1 – 4 will be shrunk down so that all of them appear on a single page.
To make this happen, just select Print from the File menu and, from the resulting Print dialog box, choose Layout from the pop-up menu that reads Copies & Pages. Now choose the number of pages you’d like to print on each page from the Pages per Sheet pop-up menu (you can choose 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, or 16). From this same dialog box you can also choose the layout direction and the kind of border your want your pictures to bear.
If you intend to use this printing layout on a fairly routine basis, save it as a template. To do so, choose Save As from the Presets menu and name and save your preset. When you next want to call it up, simply select it from the Presets menu.
