H2O Audio on Monday introduced its SV-iMini, a waterproof housing for Apple Computer Inc.’s iPod mini. The SV-iMini is not only waterproof but also submersible to 10 feet — the iPod mini is secured inside the housing with a latch and seal. It comes bundled with a special headset that connects to the iPod using a rubber-sealed watertight connector; the headset is designed to stay in place even during active sport use, such as snowboarding, surfing and wakeboarding. The SV-iMini features a dial and push-button assembly that lets users control the iPod without risking getting it wet. The SV-iMini is coming in December for US$149.95.
