Aspyr Media Inc. on Monday announced that it is shipping Call of Duty: United Offensive, the Mac version of the expansion pack for the popular World War II-era shooter. The Mac version of the game is expected to be in stores by Friday, Dec. 3 — a few days later than Aspyr Media expected the game to ship, but only a couple of months after its Windows counterpart was released.
Call of Duty: United Offensive puts players in the role of U.S., British and Russian soldiers as they liberate Europe from the Nazis through three campaigns spread through 13 new single player missions recreating historic events like the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of Kursk. Eleven new multiplayer maps have also been added along with three new multiplayer modes: Base Assault, Capture the Flag and Domination. New weapons, player abilities and special effects have been added too. Rated T for Teen by the ESRB, Call of Duty: United Offensive costs US$29.99.
Call of Duty: United Offensive requires the original Call of Duty to play, and requires Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, a G4/867MHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 1.4GB free hard disk space, ATI Radeon 7500 or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or faster 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM, and DVD drive.
