M-Audio on Tuesday unveiled Ozonic, a FireWire MIDI production and performance keyboard that features 37 keys, 40 assignable MIDI controllers, eight knobs, nine sliders with drawbar mode, nine buttons, pitch and mod wheels and sustain and expression pedal inputs. All of its MIDI controllers can be programmed to a MIDI controller number and unique channel, and its 4 x 4 analog audio interface operates at up to 24-bit/96kHz fidelity.
Ozonic’s inputs include an XLR mic jack, a quarter-inch instrument input and stereo quarter-inch TRS line-ins, while its outputs include two pairs of quarter-inch outputs with volume sliders and a headphone jack. It can draw power over a FireWire bus or with a DC adapter. All registered Ozonic owners qualify for a free copy of M-Audio’s Enigma software, which allows you to edit and store an almost unlimited number of setups. M-Audio expects to ship Ozonic in December with a US$599.95 price tag.
