Eovia has released Amapi Pro 7.5, an update to its 3D modeling, animation and rendering application that adds several features, including a new Bezier curve drawing and editiong tool, a set of NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline) snapping assistants for accessing all singular points and directions related to curves, a new Dynamic Geometry Navigator for accessing the full object construction tree and more. In addition, Amapi Pro 7.5 offers a new module, based on Eovia’s Carrara 3, for texturing and photo-realistic rendering and supports several formats for importing and exporting CAD files.
This is a US$99 upgrade for Amapi Pro 7 users; the full software is $799. Amapi Designer 7 and Amapi 3D 6 owners can upgrade for $329. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2, a G4 or G5 processor running 800MHz, 256MB RAM and a video card capable of displaying OpenGL-based 3D graphics.
