Recently a reader asked how he might search a specific website with Google rather than the entire Web. It’s easily done.
To restrict your search to a particular domain, just use this formula:
keywords site:www.thewebsite.com
For example, if I wanted to search Macworld’s website for all instances of my name, I’d type breen site:www.macworld.com. This technique beats the bejeebers out of scouring a website’s home page for a non-existent Search button (provided that Google has scraped the site for data).
