Princeton, NJ-based Rogue Amoeba Software on Wednesday announced the release of Nicecast v1.7, the latest version of their Web radio broadcasting software for Mac OS X. Using Nicecast, you can Webcast a radio stream that anyone in the world can listen to. The new release adds support for full custom MP3 settings and also features an enhanced VoiceOver plug-in with an adjustable buffer to help reduce latency. This new release also contains an updated Effects window and support for Cocoa Audio Units, and more. A free update for registered users, Nicecast 1.7 now requires Mac OS X v10.3. Nicecast costs US$40 to register.
