M-Audio has released Spectron, Ozone 3 and Trash, three 64-bit audio processing applications developed by iZotope. Spectron (US$129.99) is effects processing software that uses spectral domain processing for control over selective frequency bands. Its array of standard effects include delay, chorus, filter, flange, panning and morphing. Ozone 3 ($249.99) offers a suite of mastering processors integrated with analog modeling — its toolset includes an eight-band paragraphic equalizer, mastering reverb, an intelligent loudness maximizer and more.
Trash ($199.99) is a distortion plug-in that can mimic a wide variety of guitar rigs, including 85 different cabinet models, with 48 algorithms, 36 filter types and multi-band compression and gating. Like Spectron and Ozone 3, Trash features 192kHz audio, unlimited undo history, a library of professional presets and more. All three applications support Live 4, Cubase SX 1.0.6, Nuendo 1.61, Logic 6.4.1, ACID 4.0, SONAR 1.0, Pro Tools LE/TDM 6/1 and other hosts that support Audio Unit, MAS or VST. A G4 processor and Mac OS X v10.2 are required.
